Founding Power Assemblies

Patty Knowles founded Power Assemblies in 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada. At the time, Patty was working in finance for an electrical supplier and identified a gap in the market. She found that it was difficult to find a manufacturer that offered a comprehensive selection of high-quality portable power products. The company she was working for purchased from many vendors, yet they still lacked the ability to acquire customizable power distribution equipment for customers who needed power solutions outside of the industry standard products. Identifying this gap in the market inspired her to develop a business plan for a company specializing in manufacturing customizable, high-quality power solutions.

Patty had a vision of manufacturing and providing a wide variety of high-quality products with short lead times. Power Assemblies offers custom-fabricated power distribution equipment. Everything we offer is crafted by hand in the USA, and our manufacturing is never outsourced. Patty also designed Power Assemblies’ business model to maintain a healthy inventory full of pre-made models and stocked with parts in preparation for custom builds. This way, we can ensure our distributors can provide their customers with what they need when they need it.

Overcoming Obstacles

It’s no secret that the path to success is not linear. Patty faced many obstacles and relied on her years of industry expertise to succeed.
