October is dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness, an annual campaign to raise awareness about the impact of breast cancer. Statistically, 1 in every 8 women has this disease, that’s why this month is focused on conducting research for a potential cure. Power Assemblies is a woman-owned business that participates each year to this cause by raising awareness and we are inviting you to make a difference by encouraging the women in your communities to receive annual mammograms and health screenings, adopting a healthy lifestyle by exercising regularly and eating a healthy diet. You can also join support groups with your loved ones currently struggling with breast cancer or even help give those fighting this disease the courage they need to prevail. If you do know someone that has been diagnosed or affected by Breast Cancer, we encourage you to head over to the American Cancer Society to learn more about this disease.
While it is still unknown exactly what causes breast cancer, it develops by a slow overgrowth of cells in the breast and proceeds to become a lump. There have been multiple studies that reflect those who follow a regular exercise regiment and maintain a healthy weight are less likely to develop breast cancer. Power Assemblies wants you to be healthy to live happily. We want to see you succeed. If you or someone you know is currently fighting breast cancer, we encourage you to stay knowledgeable on the subject so you may be able to help someone else catch it early on to increase the chances of beating it.
From all of us at Power Assemblies, we wish you all the best! And as we continue to raise awareness this October by informing those around us about this disease, we wish you and your family great health and prosperity for the rest of the year and more to come. Stay pink!
