Power Assemblies and the Cat Rental Dealer Network

Over the past 14 years, Power Assemblies has provided cable assemblies. portable power equipment and services to Caterpillar dealer rental companies throughout the United States. The cat dealer network consists of over 60 independently owned distributors of Caterpillar earth moving equipment and generators. These dealerships all have rental divisions, and most rent generators and associated equipment. Caterpillar holds an event annually in differing locations that is attended by rental managers and sales personnel with a one day trade show for their most valuable vendors, known as Cat Rental Meeting. Power Assemblies began attending the invite only Caterpillar rental meeting in 2008, until it was temporarily suspended in 2018. This year, Cat has renewed the tradition with the 2019 meeting being held from March 4-6 in San Antonio Texas. Power Assemblies will once again attend the show. The Cat Rental Meeting is a great way to connect with old friends and make some new ones. The organizers of the show usually have a golf event (thank you!) a day before the trade show held at a nice local course. Following golf, there is a cocktail reception and dinner where we can catch up with what’s happening with each other’s families and hobbies. During the trade show portion this year, Power Assemblies will be displaying several new products and services including the Beetle Box, the transformer cart and loadbank stations. We’ll also show off our unique ability to build medium voltage cable assemblies and repair all sorts of low and medium voltage equipment and cable assemblies. The event will be attended by a Power Assemblies representative along with some of Power Assemblies preferred electrical distributors. In addition to the Cat Rental Power Show, Power Assemblies plans on attending the Powergen show in Las Vegas that is typically held in December, and the Governors Hurricane Conference in South Florida in May.
