Remarkable. Reliable. Innovative. These are all words that describe Power Assemblies’ unique design of the Portable I-Line Panel (PIP). Our goal with this model was simple – “Power Better”. When it comes to our electrical engineering and manufacturing potential, the capabilities are endless. Whatever you need, no matter the project, big or small – Power Assemblies is eager to help our electrical distribution partners thrive and help you provide your customers with the solutions they need to succeed on the job.
The distinctive design of our Portable I-Line Panel begins with a heavy-duty steel welded frame equipped with forklift pockets and swiveling casters with brakes for superior movability. Whether you are off-loading the PIP on the job, transporting it around town, or storing it in a warehouse at the conclusion of the job, our innovative design makes it simple. Depending on how the customer plans on purposing our I-Line Panel, we encourage them to weigh their options to help decide whether that frame is completely necessary for the task at hand. As previously mentioned, customization is our specialty and satisfaction is what we seek. That means if they would prefer to wall-mount the PIP and have our engineers remove the frame from the build, that’s entirely possible as well.
Next comes the enclosure design and general purpose of the portable I-Line panel. Our custom panels are not all made equal, and in fact, the complete customization aspect is what separates us from the competition. The “end-customer” has the option to work with their distributor to decipher exactly how much value this product will provide. Depending on the industry, this panel can be configured with a variety of different tools and receptacles to provide power throughout the specified location. For example, if our Portable I-Line Panel is purposed for a shipyard or marina, it would be ideal to mount marine-rated 30 Amp, 50 Amp, and 100 Amp shore power receptacles along with 15 or 20 Amp GFCI receptacles. Once more, not all I-Line panels are created equal due to this factor.
With this being a completely portable panel, it’s important that the receptacles chosen to outfit the panel have been carefully considered. Panels that are purposed in a marine or wet-location environment will come NEMA 3R or even NEMA 4/12 upon request. These panels are typically equipped with different outlets than that of a panel intended for use on a construction site.
